Shalu Gillum, JD, MLS, AHIP (she/her/hers) is Head of Public Services for the Harriet F. Ginsburg Health Sciences Library at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine in Orlando, Florida. Shalu is responsible for managing library public services, including reference, instruction, and promotion. She provides support to faculty, students, and staff in the areas of research, literature searching, and copyright compliance. She was awarded the National Library of Medicine and Medical Library Association joint Spectrum Scholarship in 2009, which promotes diversity in the library and information science field. In 2017 she became an alumni of Florida’s Sunshine State Library Leadership Institute. She is co-editor of the book "Planning and Promoting Events in Health Sciences Libraries: Success Stories and Best Practices."
