Karen S. Alcorn received her MLS from the University at Buffalo and as a reference and instruction librarian is the library liaison to the Nursing, Optometry, and Physical Therapy programs at all three Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences campuses. She co-teaches a series of evidence-based practice classes as well as supports research projects of co-faculty members. She has published in the Journal of the Medical Library Association, the Health Information and Libraries Journal, and Brain Injury. Her research interests are assessing information literacy among doctoral students, promoting awareness of healthcare issues concerning veteran-centered care, exploring faculty/librarian collaboration, and issues/trends related to embedded librarianship.
