Katie Prentice, MSIS, AHIP is Executive Director at the Texas Medical Center Library (TMC Library) in Houston, Texas. She manages library services and information resources for the member institutions of the TMC Library, serving thousands of students, faculty, and researchers. After working as a librarian in Austin, Texas, San Antonio, Texas, and Tulsa, Oklahoma, she is happy to be back in Texas. Her research and management/leadership interests include space use/usability, library assessment, and mentoring. Katie chose a career in library and information science after serving as a volunteer English language teacher in the Republic of Latvia with the US Peace Corps. She has a cat named Coco and loves to travel, try new foods, and meet new people.
