This presentation entails research undertaken by Morehouse School of Medicine on molecular mechanisms underlying ischemic brain injury, as seen in an ischemic stroke, and its prevention through analysis conducted with Metacore. The presentation will highlight instrumental roles of proteomics and bioinformatics in stroke research.
The research involves heavy use of bioinformatic tools for analyzing proteomic data. We will discuss how we have been taking advantage of this research capacity to engaging students at all levels and with different career trajectories.
