With a combined 69 years of leadership experience in libraries and professional associations, M.J. and Gabe know pretty much all there is to know about being a library leader. . . and about advising, encouraging, and guiding others on their leadership journey. Join them for the latest version of a very special course that has been offered many times at MLA annual meetings.
You’ll gain insider knowledge of what a library director really does and the challenges they face. Through dialogue and sharing, case studies, and incisive questions, you’ll develop the personal insights and acquire the knowledge-base to help you decide if you want to direct an academic health sciences or hospital library. . . or not, and to plan the next steps in your library career and leadership journey. . . wherever you are headed.
