Dr. Chasitie Levesque earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2003. Thereafter she completed a one-year Clinical Pharmacy Practice Residency at the Jesse Brown Veteran Affairs Medical Center (JBVAMC) in 2004. After completion of her residency, Dr. Levesque joined the JBVAMC as Clinical Pharmacy Specialist providing care to Veterans in multiple areas including primary care, smoking cessation and anticoagulation clinics. Some of her major accomplishments at JBVAMC include initiation of one of the first Women’s Health Clinical Pharmacy services in 2005, followed by initiation of the Chicago Heights VA Clinical Pharmacy services in 2006.
In 2015, Dr. Levesque joined the Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 12) as the Network Women Veteran Program Manager (WVPM) and Clinical Pharmacy Program Manager. Dr. Levesque serves as the first Pharmacist in the Department of Veteran Affairs history in the role of Lead WVPM. In addition Dr. Levesque has served in multiple capacities Nationally including Women’s Health Mini Residency faculty, National Cardiovascular disease in Women Veterans workgroup and Women’s Health Act workgroup. Her areas of passion include improving the care of Women Veterans, culture change and advancing clinical pharmacy services.
