Christi Jen, PharmD, BCPS, FASHP, FAzPA is the Clinical Pharmacy Manager at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona and worked as an Emergency Medicine Clinical Pharmacist for 11 years and a PGY1 RPD (2013-2016). A graduate of the University of Illinois Chicago College of Pharmacy, she completed her PGY1 residency training at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix. With over 10 years of educating pharmacy learners, she serves as Assistant Professor of Pharmacy at Mayo Clinic, Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy, and Clinical Instructor for Midwestern University College of Pharmacy – Glendale. She previously served in various capacities for ASHP’s Section Advisory Groups (Clinical Leadership, Year-Round Education, Preceptor Skills Development, Emergency Medicine) and was the Chair of ASHP's Council on Therapeutics in 2020-2021. She was the pharmacist representative for the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) Hepatic Encephalopathy Panel, an ASHP House of Delegate since 2013 as an alternate and delegate for the Arizona Pharmacy Association (AzPA), and a Director-at-Large for the ASHP state affiliate within AzPA. Currently, Dr. Jen is the Chair for ASHP's Section of Clinical Specialists and Scientists. She has given presentations on EM topics and preceptor development at local and national meetings. In 2019, she was awarded Preceptor of the Year at Midwestern University College of Pharmacy-Glendale. Her professional interests include preceptor development and emergency/disaster management.
