Sarah Mattmuller received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the Medical University of South Carolina. She completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency and a Critical Care Specialty Residency at Shands at the University of Florida. She is currently Assistant Director of Pharmacy for Trident Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina. She has held the positions of Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Cardiovascular Critical Care and Pharmacy Supervisor for OR/ER Pharmacies at Greenville Health System in Greenville, South Carolina.
Dr. Mattmuller has served on the faculty of the South Carolina College of Pharmacy. She was a residency preceptor for the PGY1 and PGY2 Critical Care Residency Programs at Greenville Health System and is currently a residency preceptor for the PGY1 Residency Program at Trident Medical Center. She is an active member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and served as the Vice-Chair and Chair of the Section of Clinical Specialists and Scientists’ Educational Steering Committee from 2013-2015.
She is a published author in several peer-reviewed critical care and pharmacy journals and has served as a peer reviewer for the American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy. Dr. Mattmuller has been a presenter, moderator and program chair at several national and state pharmacy meetings, including the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting, as well as several international pharmacy conferences. Her areas of interest include cardiac surgery, anesthesia, and pharmacy technician advocacy.
