Hoang "Thomas" Nguyen joined the Harris Health Health System in March of 2021 as the Pharmcy Business Intelligence (BI) Program Manager. In this role, he oversaw the data management and visualization of Pharmacy centric data.
Prior to his time at Harris Health, Thomas spent nearly 11 years with the Memorial Hermann Healthcare system. For the first 8 years, his primary concentration was on Medical Informatics, focusing on rules based alerting within the EHR. The last 3-4 years, he transitioned to data visualization using the Tableau Software to create dashboards for the Quality department.
For his educational background, Thomas completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin (2004) with a Biology degree and then attained his Health Informatics Masters degree at the University of Texas at Houston School of Biomedical Informatics (2009). Thomas also obtained his Certified Professional in Health Information Management Systems (CPHIMS) in 2016.
