Dr. Arendt is an Assistant Professor at The University of Cincinnati, James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy where he specializes in pain management and opioid stewardship. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from The University of Toledo in 2018 before completing a PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency at University Hospitals: Geauga Medical Center, located near Cleveland, OH. After completing his PGY-1, he stayed at Geauga Medical Center, where he completed a combined Internal Medicine and Academia PGY-2 residency program with Northeast Ohio Medical University. Currently, Dr. Arendt serves as chair of the Pain Stewardship Committee at UC Health. In this role he works to develop innovative policies and practices that enhance pain management and substance use disorder treatment within the UC Health System and the greater Cincinnati area. He is a firm believer in the power of harm reduction and the impact that medicine and compassion can have.
