Kaitlin (Katie) Hughes is a clinical pharmacy specialist in pediatric critical care at Riley Hospital for Children. She serves as a preceptor for students and PGY1 and PGY2 residents and lectures in the pediatric electives at Purdue and Butler colleges of pharmacy. Dr. Hughes received her Pharm.D. from Purdue University in 2013. She completed her PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at Indiana University Health followed by her PGY2 pediatric pharmacy residency at University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy. Dr. Hughes then attained her board certification as pediatric pharmacotherapy specialist (BCPPS) and worked as a clinical specialist in pediatric surgery and surgical critical care at CS Mott Children’s Hospital at Michigan Medicine for two years prior to relocating to Indianapolis. Her current interests include drug dosing in ECMO and renal replacement therapies, neurocritical care, burn, and comfort and delirium in the critically ill child.
