Dr. Hayes is an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Sullivan University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (SUCOPHS). He maintains a clinical practice site at the University of Louisville Hospital Ambulatory Internal Medicine Clinic with a focus in diabetes. His research interest are health outcomes with advanced pharmacy practice models and diabetes pharmacotherapy. Dr. Hayes also has an interest in increasing advocacy within the profession of pharmacy and has served as the Kentucky Society of Health System Pharmacists Chair of public policy and President as well as coordinating an advocacy elective at SUCOPHS.
Dr. Hayes is actively involved in multiple residency programs as a preceptor, former co-chair of the University of Louisville Health system residency research committee, and SUCOPHS Research committee. He also gives lectures on the topic of residency interviews in the introduction to residency class at SUCOPHS and routinely participates in residency interviews for multiple residency programs.
