Amber Johnson, PharmD, MBA is Senior Pharmacist at The Rockefeller University Hospital in Manhattan, New York. Her current responsibilities include participating in the development of clinical research protocols related to the use of drugs, developing protocol-specific pharmacy policies and procedures, and preparing, compounding and dispensing investigational drugs. Her experience in research spans nine years, practicing as an investigational drug services pharmacist in health-system and clinical research settings.
Dr. Johnson is a graduate of Florida A&M University and completed her residency training at Beth Israel Medical Center. She holds a Master of Business Administration degree, with an emphasis in Healthcare Management. She has served as Treasurer and Mentorship Chair for New York City Society of Health-System Pharmacists and Application Reviewer for the Pharmacy Leadership Scholars Grant for American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
Dr. Johnson is passionate about entrepreneurship, community service, and mentorship. She created PharmAssist Career Services, a career-servicing center dedicated to pharmacy professionals. Their mission is to provide guidance, support, resources and skills to assist clients in fulfilling their career goals. She is a member and volunteers for many service organizations within her community.
