Becky Jayakumar, Pharm.D., BCIDP, earned her B.S. in pharmaceutical sciences and Pharm.D. from North Dakota State University. She completed a PGY-1 residency at University Medical Center of Southern Nevada and a two-year infectious disease fellowship at Hartford Hospital. She currently maintains an infectious disease clinical site at Valley Hospital Medical Center and teaches both infectious disease and clinical pharmacokinetics at Roseman University of Health Sciences, College of Pharmacy. Additionally, she serves on the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy PCOA/FPGEE Review Committe as well as serves as an item writer, feild tester, and standard setting panel member for the Board Certification of Infectious Disease Pharmacists exam. She has 20+ research publications primarily in topics related to pharmacokinetics, antibiotic resistance, and clinical outcomes of novel agents. Currently, her interest in disability, disability justice, and advancing healthcare education on diversity comes from her own personal experience. Becky is studying to become a board certified patient advocate as well as starting a non-profit to help provide resources, support, patient advocacy, and provide disability and compassion training for healthcare providers.
