Dr. Autumn Zuckerman received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Samford University McWhorter School of Pharmacy, then completed two years of ASHP-accredited residency training at the Tennessee Valley Healthcare System VA, specializing in ambulatory care. Dr. Zuckerman has obtained Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy, American Academy of HIV Medicine Pharmacy Specialist designation, and Certified Specialty Pharmacist designation. She began working at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in July 2015 in the Infectious Diseases Clinic where she provided clinical pharmacy services under a collaborative practice agreement for those with HCV infection and at high risk for HIV acquisition.
Dr. Zuckerman was appointed Director of Health Outcomes and Research at Vanderbilt Specialty Pharmacy in January 2018. In this role, she leads a team of pharmacists and researchers in studying the specialty patient journey. Through strategic collaborations, Dr. Zuckerman and team utilize research findings to drive innovative, evidence-based practices changes that improve patient care. Dr. Zuckerman also serves as an affiliate professor at University of Tennessee College of Health Sciences, Lipscomb University College of Pharmacy, and Belmont University College of Pharmacy. Her clinical focus is on improving access and quality of treatment for patients with HIV and viral hepatitis. Dr. Zuckerman’s research spans across specialty disease states and has included research in the areas of multiple sclerosis, pulmonary arterial hypertension, hematology, lipidology, and osteoporosis.
