Biographical Sketch
Katelyn W. Sylvester, PharmD, CACP, BCPS, is the Ambulatory and Antithrombotic Clinical Pharmacy Manager as well as the PGY2 Thrombosis and Hemostasis Residency Program Director at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Katelyn is responsible for managing the outpatient anticoagulation management service, inpatient hemostatic and antithrombotic stewardship program, and ambulatory advance practice pharmacists. Previously Katelyn was a clinical specialist focusing in emergency medicine, cardiology, and anticoagulation management. Katelyn continues to have an active role in clinical research, multi-disciplinary education, and guideline development. She serves on several multidisciplinary hospital committees as well as department committees and has an active role as a mentor and preceptor within the pharmacy department. She has contributed to several peer-reviewed publications (majority in field of anticoagulation) and anticoagulation-related book chapters and is a peer reviewer for multiple journals. Katelyn received an undergraduate degree at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI, a Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Northeastern University in Boston, MA, and completed post graduate residency training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
