Katie Vogel Anderson, Pharm.D., BCACP, FCCP
Clinical Associate Professor, UF Colleges of Pharmacy and Medicine
Dr. Vogel Anderson earned her B.S. degree in biochemistry at Florida State University and her Pharm.D. at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. After completing a primary care PGY1 pharmacy residency, Katie worked as a clinical pharmacy specialist at the Malcom Randall Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida. In 2010, she joined the faculty at the UF College of Pharmacy. Katie practices at UF Health Internal Medicine, where she manages chronic conditions as part of a multi-disciplinary health care team. Research interests include anticoagulation therapy, pharmacist/physician collaboration, and improving medication management at each patient care transition. In the Pharm.D. curriculum, Katie teaches cardiovascular therapeutics and men's and women's health. To become a better educator, Katie enrolled in the UF Higher Education Administration and Policy PhD program in 2019. She aims to study student pharmacist success to determine how curricular initiatives impact such success. Katie has served as chair of the UF Faculty Senate and on the UF Board of Trustees. Katie and her husband, Shawn Anderson (also a pharmacist), established the endowed Vogel/Anderson Scholarship for third year UF student pharmacists in 2009. In her free time, Katie likes to attend Gators athletics events and go RV'ing with Shawn and their two dogs, Teddie Roosevelt and Johnnie Adams.
