Megan Dorrell, PharmD, BCACP is the Pharmacy Benefit Practice Leader at Apex Benefits in Carmel, IN. Dr. Dorrell graduated from Purdue University before completing a pharmacy practice residency at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY. She then completed a PGY2 residency in pharmacotherapy with Butler University and IU Health in Indianapolis, IN. Her clinical practice was in a variety of ambulatory care areas always with a focus on new and sustainable services. Prior to her current role, she was the Director of Ambulatory Care Pharmacy at Community Health Network where she oversaw the development of new services with projects related to chronic disease state management, transitions of care, Medicare annual wellness, integration of value-based contract measures into clinical practice, and expansion into specialty clinics as a few examples. In her current role, Dr. Dorrell works closely with self-funded employers to maximize the value of their pharmacy benefit as well working with the clinical team to develop clinical interventions that improve patient’s health outcomes.
