Addison Ragan, PharmD, BCPS, is the National Clincial Resource Hub (CRH) Pharmacy Manager with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). She has been involved in establishing the role of the clinical pharmacist practitoner within this innovative telehealth care model. She has led efforts to expanded CRH pharmacy practice into Primary Care, Mental Health, Pain, SUD, and Medical Specialties. She has presented on this new innovative health delivery model at the Academy Health Science of Dissemination and Implementation Annual Meeting, 2020 VA-Duke Advanced Practice Provider Symposium, and 2021 ACCP Virtual Poster Forum. She serves on the VA National Clinical Pharmacy Advisory Board and National Clinical Pharmacy Practice Council as the CRH representative championing clinical pharmacy practice innovation.
She is a graduate of Harrison School of Pharmacy in Auburn, AL. Following graduation she was an Ambulatory Care Clinical Pharmacist Pratitioner with the Central Alabamba Veterans Health Care System (CAVHCS). She served as the Associate Chief of Clinical Pharmacy for CAVHCS for seven years and expanded clinicial pharmacy practice across inpatient and outpatient practice areas and implemented a a PGY-1 Residency Program. She then served as the Atlanta Network VA Academic Detailing Pharmacy Program Manager where she managed a virtual academic detaling program. She led the development and diffusion of educational campaigns across the enterprise for heart failure, COPD, urinary track infections, and new provider training.
