Dr. Reece is Director of Interprofessional Education for SOP, and Vice Chair and Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice with PCOM Georgia SOP. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from Mercer University, and completed a community pharmacy residency program with Mercer University and The Kroger Co. Dr. Reece holds board certification in ambulatory care and advanced diabetes management. In 2015, Dr. Reece was appointed by Georgia Governor Nathan Deal to Commission on Medical Cannabis. In 2017, she was awarded Fellow of the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists (ADCES). She previously served on board of directors and as treasurer of ADCES. She currently serves as Chair of the Endocrine and Metabolism PRN of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy. She also serves as core faculty, ambulatory care pharmacist and diabetes specialist with Northeast Georgia Medical Center Family Medicine Graduate Medical Education Program. Dr. Reece has a blog, Reeceās Pieces in a Diabetes World, that offers practical information about medications for patients living with diabetes. She presents on diabetes and technology related topics nationally. Dr. Reece was awarded 40 under 40 Pharmacists for Georgia Pharmacy Association, Silver Shovel Award by Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce, Outstanding Allied Health Professional Award by the Healthy Hall Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce and PCOM SOP Teacher of the Year for Pharmacy Practice.
