Dr. Jennifer Cocohoba is Professor and Vice-Chair of Faculty Development in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Pharmacy. Dr. Cocohoba obtained her PharmD at UCSF, completed a PGY1 residency at the UCSF Medical Center, and an HIV/AIDS Ambulatory Care specialty residency at San Francisco General Hospital. She is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist and an American Academy of HIV Medicine Pharmacist. Her academic responsibilities include educating health professional students on HIV pharmacotherapy, monitoring and improving adherence, and communication skills. She serves as the clinical pharmacist for the Womens HIV Program (WHP) where she conducts medication therapy management and HIV regimen consultations, QI initiatives around prescribing. Dr. Cocohoba’s research interests involve antiretroviral pharmacoepidemiology and designing interventions to improve medication adherence, particularly in underserved populations.
