Christopher Betz, Pharm.D., BCPS, FKSHP, FASHP is a Professor at the Sullivan University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine within the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Dr. Betz earned his PharmD at Temple University in Philadelphia and completed a pharmacy practice residency at the University of Louisville. He practices as a Cardiology Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, and Director of Heart Failure Education, with the Advanced Heart Failure Therapies Program at the UofL Health - Jewish Hospital Rudd Heart and Lung Center. Dr. Betz has held multiple appointed and elected positions within the ASHP and its state affiliates in Louisiana and Kentucky, including President of the Louisiana Society of Health-System Pharmacists. He’s also served ASHP as a Delegate from both states, as Chair of the Council on Pharmacy Practice, Cardiology Networking Facilitator for the Section of Clinical Specialists and Scientists, and Chair of the Section of Clinical Specialists and Scientists. Dr. Betz has served the American College of Cardiology Kentucky Chapter as a Session Chair and as Chair of the Scientific Committee. He is a member of the NAPLEX Review Committee. He serves as a reviewer for several periodicals and as a content matter expert, and faculty member, for the ASHP Pharmacotherapy Board Certification Review and Recertification Course.
