ASHP Certification as a Center of Excellence in Medication-Use Safety and Pharmacy Practice Program Town Hall

The new ASHP Certification as a Center of Excellence in Medication-Use Safety and Pharmacy Practice recognizes and differentiates high-performing hospital and health-system pharmacy departments. Pharmacy departments that achieve ASHP certification demonstrate the highest levels of integration and leadership for medication use within their organization, pharmacy practice, medication safety, and pharmacy patient care services. At the beginning of the Town Hall, ASHP staff will provide an overview of the standard, the program and standard-based peer-reviewed survey process, program requirements, and how to apply for certification. Following the overview, attendees can ask questions of ASHP staff, surveyors, representatives of certified programs and those in the certification process about preparation for certification, survey methods and requirements, and their experiences.
