Donald E. Francke Medalist Dr. Toyin Tofade, MS, PharmD, BCPS, CPCC, FFIP, presents Leading with heart in service of global initiatives at 2:00 p.m. The educational session starts immediately after the lecture at 2:30 p.m. The ASHP Board of Directors’ Donald E. Francke Medal was established to honor pharmacists who have made significant international contributions to advance pharmacy practice.

All attendees are invited to join Dr. Tofade after the session to offer congratulations at a special reception for international registrants. Additionally, international registrants and invited guests will have the unique opportunity to learn about best practices from a select group of international attendees presenting posters at and during the reception. The reception is an opportunity to network with your friends and colleagues from around the world. Light refreshments will be served.

Dr. Tofade is a well-respected and accomplished leader in global pharmacy with sustained contributions to international pharmacy leadership and continuous professional development (CPD). She has published several papers and presented her work on CPD, academic capacity, organizational leadership, and building strong relationship systems both nationally and internationally.

Learning Objectives:

Summarize international pharmacy practice scenarios that might not be widely known or published.
Explain how culture, economics, and law influence the advancement of pharmacy practice in an international setting.
Describe methods used to provide a framework to advance pharmacy practice leading to desired health outcomes.
