In 2019, I completed my bachelor’s in forestry from the Institute of Forestry (IOF), Tribhuvan University, Nepal. During the period, besides academic training, I gathered several experiences that are linked with the application of remote sensing and geographic information system for monitoring and evaluating water bodies within small to medium geographical boundaries in Nepal.
In 2021, my passion for nature and natural resources led me to start my master’s degree in Ecology at the UQAT; this degree will be completed officially by December 2022. My master's project aims to evaluate the influence of climate and outbreak severity on black spruce growth during the outbreaks that have occurred in the last half-century.
I am currently involved in an internship at the Technological Center for Industrial Residues (CTRI), Rouyn Noranda where I am studying whether industrial effluent can be a potential source of fertilizer through the greenhouse and in-site experiments in the Abitibi region. For this internship, I obtained a fund under the graduate scholarship program (2021/22) from Québec Research Fund – Nature et technologies (FRQNT).
