PhD Candidate
University of Queensland, Queensland, Australia
I am in the last few months of my PhD with Prof. Margie Mayfield and Dr. John Dwyer and looking for a postdoc starting 2023! I am passionate about using ecophysiology to understand the impacts of climate change on plant communities.
I am currently researching demography-environment relationships in annual plant systems, with a focus on water availability (manipulated using rainout shelters) and natural heterogeneity in shade and soil fertility. I am also researching climatic vs competitive constraints on Eucalyptus tree growth along an aridity gradient in Tasmania, and with functional trait-based glasshouse experiments.
Previously, I have studied phenotypic plasticity in functional trait responses (particularly thermal tolerance) to growth temperature in an alpine herb.
