My name is Akib Hasan, an ecologist in Canada and from Bangladesh.
I have experience in different disciplines of ecology, especially aquatic ecology, wildlife biology and conservation. Now, I am working on a project that is evaluating the aquatic biodiversity associated to esker lakes using a unique food-web approach for the first time in the world. The work aims to assess the waterbird, fish, and macroinvertebrate diversity and factors that determine their association with the ecosystem.
I have experience writing two peer-reviewed articles, three popular articles, six international research posters, and presentation experience in seven conferences. Moreover, I have 2 years of experience working in the Canadian boreal forest (Abitibi, western Québec), 8 years of experience working in the tropical forest (Bangladesh), and 2 years of experience as a Junior Researcher in a natural research-based private organization in Bangladesh.
Currently, I am looking for a new adventure for next year as I am finishing my master's at Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue.
