My name is Miarisoa Rindra Rakotoarinia. I'm a PhD student at Faculty of veterinary medicin of the University of Montreal. My thesis consists of studying the combined effects of climate change and land use change on mosquito populations in eastern Ontario.
I have strong interest in the ecology of insect vectors and the epidemiology of vector-borne diseases or other zoonoses, specifically in human-animal interface issues. I'm interested in promoting knowledge on the epidemiology of zoonoses through research, awareness and scientific communication programs
My carreer goal is to become an epidemiologist or research scientist in animal and/or public health area.
