The University of Tennessee Knoxville
Knoxville, TN, United States
I am a current Ph.D candidate at The University of Tennessee Knoxville in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. Throughout my dissertation, I illustrate how plant-microbe interactions at fine scales can affect the conclusions we derive from models at larger geographic scales. To do so, it is imperative to first describe how microbial richness spatially varies amongst host provided niches. It is also relevant to investigate the relative importance abiotic and biotic conditions play on circumscribing plant-host associated microbial communities. My main goal while at The University of Tennessee Knoxville is to become familiar with handling large microbial datasets, the intricacies of working with genomic data, and customizing bioinformatic pipelines.
