Junior Research Group Leader

I have studied biology at the University of Würzburg in Bavaria, Germany. In between I have spent half a year at the University of Oulu in Finland to study stream water macroinvertebrates. For my PhD studies I have moved to the University of Freiburg in Baden-Württemberg the Southwest of Germany. I have finished my PhD about the evidence base of ecosystem services under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Carsten Dormann. Since 2016, I work in the Nature Conservation and Landscape Ecology department of Prof. Dr. Alexandra Klein first as a PostDoc and for one year as a junior research group leader. In between I have spent half a year at the University of Cambridge in the working group of Prof. Dr. William Sutherland to further investigate topics related to evidence-based practice. The topics of my junior research group are evidence-based conservation methods and ground-nesting bee ecology in agricultural landscapes.
