Laurel obtained her BS in Conservation Biology and BA in Philosophy from Warren Wilson College in Asheville, North Carolina in 2012. She is broadly interested in global change ecology, disturbance ecology, and landscape ecology. Her primary doctoral research is on remote sensing applications to species distribution modeling at treeline in Rocky Mountain National Park. This week, Laurel is presenting her on-the-ground research on treeline community structure and composition in Rocky Mountain National Park.
