I obtained my Ph.D. in Botany (Ecology) in 2016 from the University of Agriculture Faisalabad Pakistan with a fully funded Higher Education Commission’s Indigenous merit scholarship. I performed my research as a research fellow from the University of California, Santa Barbara, United States in her Ph.D. with Higher Education Commission’s International Fellowship (IRSIP). I was appointed as Assistant professor of Botany in 2016 at GC Women University Sialkot, Pakistan.
I have expertise in Ecology and Environmental Biology. The more specific areas of my research are soil biogeochemistry, climate change, heavy metals, microplastics, emerging environmental pollutants, wetlands ecology, phytoremediation, environmental modeling & management, and the use of phytotechnologies to reduce environmental pollutants. I also represented Pakistan on several International Platforms and have published several research papers studying the effects of environmental pollutants on wild vegetation, soils, and ecosystems.
