Christopher is a PhD candidate at the Earth and Environmental Sciences Program at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York in New York City. He studies alterations to soil biogeochemistry that happent through residential development, with a particular focus on nitrogen. With undergraduate degrees in Anthropology and in Women's Studies from the University of Florida, he also aims to develop sociopolitical histories around landuse that provide a social science context for how these ecologic changes have come about. Through incorporating these appraoches, he hopes to develop an approach from biogeochemistry towards sociobiogeochemistry, enhancing discourse surrounding environmental justice and healthier futures.
