I am a postdoc in the Rehan Lab at York University (Toronto, Canada). Currently working on metagenomics and metatranscriptomics of the small carpenter bee (Ceratina calcarata). My previous work was in studying gene selection patterns in visual opsins in freshwater and marine fish. I also worked with environmental DNA for the detection of invasive and at-risk freshwater fish in tributaries of the Great Lakes.
My interests are in genomics research and seeking to continue my career in this field, with the hope of expanding my expertise into other streams such as population genomics.
