Medical Student
University Of Toronto
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Klaudiusz Stoklosa is a fourth year medical student at the University of Toronto. Klaudiusz’s unique journey to medical school has allowed him to learn from and mentor students from diverse backgrounds. Originally from Toronto, Klaudiusz attended McGill University where he completed his Bachelors of Science in Anatomy and Cell Biology (Honours). Klaudiusz speaks English, French, and Polish. He has worked nearly ten years in construction during his studies and finds the intersection of working with his hands, problem solving, and bringing his clients' visions to life as strong motivation behind his surgical aspirations. Klaudiusz has a strong interest in the cardiovascular sciences, particularly cardiac surgery. He loves research and plans to complete his PhD training during residency. Klaudiusz is actively involved in cardiac surgery and medical education research. He has a particular interest in cardiac transplant surgery research and ways to improve medical and surgical education and training. Outside of school and research, you can find Klaudiusz playing tennis, training for duathlons (running and cycling), mountain hiking, watching professional sports, enjoying nature with family and friends, and working on global health and global surgery initiatives. He is overjoyed with the prospect of meeting and listening to Canadian cardiovascular leaders and pioneers and learning from current researchers at the 2021 CCC.
