Dr. Wong is a Cardiologist and Cardiac Electrophysiologist at Hamilton Health Sciences (Hamilton, Ontario, Canada), Assistant Professor of Medicine at McMaster University, and Scientist at the Population Health Research Institute. Dr. Wong obtained his MD at McMaster University, followed by his internal medicine and cardiology training at the University of Western Ontario. He completed his clinical electrophysiology fellowship at the University of Calgary and at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital / Harvard University in Boston. While at Harvard, he also completed a Master’s of Public Health degree and a research fellowship with Dr. Christine Albert, a leader in atrial fibrillation epidemiology. Dr. Wong is currently enrolled in the Health Research Methods PhD program at McMaster. His research interests are in the field of atrial fibrillation and heart failure, including epidemiology, risk factor modification, treatment and outcomes. He has >60 published manuscripts and has a Department of Medicine Early-Career Research Award from McMaster.
