Amber Bean, Advanced Care Paramedic
Amber started her career in paramedicine twelve years ago with the rural County of Renfew Paramedic Service. Soon After she began her career with the Ottawa Paramedic Service where she is currently employed as an Advanced Care Paramedic. Amber is currently part of the Rapid Response Unit team where she responds to emergencies in an SUV solo to begin pre hospital care for our community. This team strives to maintain a highly clinical and educated group of paramedics. Amber can hand over patient care to a responding Paramedic unit for transport to hospital via an ambulance or maintain her care especially for higher acquity interventions in patient care. Amber is also frequently called upon to support her collegues with her expanded scope of practice for patient care and medical interventions. Amber is working towards joining the service's Acting Superintendent team and would like to take on a leadership role within the next five years.
