Dr. Marelli is Professor of Medicine at McGill University. She is the Director of Cardiovascular Research and the Associate Director of Academic Affairs for Cardiology at the McGill University Health Centre. At the University of California in Los Angeles, she was the first person to graduate from the first adult congenital heart disease program in the US. She completed an MPH at the Harvard School of Public Health with a focus on methodology for large databases and health informatics. In Montreal she founded the McGill Adult Unit for Congenital Heart Disease, known as the MAUDE Unit in honor of Maude Abbott. In Québec, she is a research scholar with nearly $9 million in funding since 2015. She has published over 170 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters in congenital heart disease of all ages. She co-authors Perloff’s Clinical Recognition of Congenital Heart Disease. In Canada, she is President of the Canadian Adult Congenital Heart Disease Network.
