Iqbal Jaffer is a cardiac surgeon, assistant professor, and the residency and fellowship program director in cardiac surgery at Hamilton Health Sciences and McMaster University. He has advanced training in transcatheter valves and in valve thrombosis. His clinical interests are in aortic valve disease and the management of patients with aortic valve disease through both surgical and transcatheter interventions as well as in the management of patients who develop issues with their prosthetic valves.
