Dr. Andrew Warren is a pediatric cardiologist and Professor of Pediatrics at Dalhousie University. He is cross-appointed to the Division of Medical Education. He began his medical training at Memorial, with an MD in 1992, followed by a rotating internship at the Ottawa General Hospital, a residency in pediatrics at Memorial, and a subspecialty residency in pediatric cardiology at Dalhousie and the University of Toronto. During residency, he also completed a Masters degree in clinical epidemiology.
Dr. Warren joined the medical staff at the IWK Health Center and the faculty of Dalhousie in July 1999. Since then, he has held various leadership roles at the hospital and university including Program Director of the Pediatric Cardiology Residency Program, Division Head in Pediatric Cardiology, and, since June of 2012, Associate Dean for Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME).
From a research perspective, Dr. Warren's interests include the epidemiology of congenital heart disease, economic analyses of the costs of pediatric cardiology care, and medical education.
Recreationally, Dr. Warren enjoys running, biking, and digging in his garden.
