Mimi Deng is a PGY2 in Cardiac Surgery the University of Toronto in 2021. Previously, she completed medical school at University of Ottawa and received her Bachelor of Health Sciences at McMaster University, specializing in Biomedicine & Biochemistry. During her undergraduate medical studies, she was involved in providing extracurricular medical/surgical educational opportunities, and developing initiatives in Global Health and Health Equity. During residency, she looks forward to exploring the full breadth of adult and pediatric cardiac surgery, as well as innovative approaches to improving perioperative care. Outside of medicine, she enjoys movies, running, and graphic design.
