Dr. Michael Thibert is originally from Thunder Bay, Ontario where he completed an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology Degree at Lakehead University. He went on to complete his undergraduate medical education at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine in Thunder Bay. He then went to Vancouver to complete Internal Medicine and Cardiology Training at University of British Columbia where he served as Chief Internal Medicine Resident and Chief Cardiology Resident. He is currently in his second year of a Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship at University of Ottawa Heart Institute where he is serving as Chief EP Fellow and is the Member-in-Training Representative for the Canadian Heart Rhythm Society. His clinical and research interests include diagnosis and treatment of complex ventricular arrhythmias including PVCs and VT. Outside of medicine, he is most proud to be a father of two daughters Elizabeth and Josephine, ages 3 years and 5 months.
