Lindsay Freud is the Associate Director of Fetal Cardiology at The Hospital for Sick Children and Associate Professor of Paediatrics at the University of Toronto. After obtaining her undergraduate degree from Duke University and her medical degree from Harvard Medical School, she completed pediatrics residency at Boston Children's Hospital, pediatric cardiology fellowship at Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. and advanced cardiac imaging and research fellowships at Boston Children’s Hospital. Prior to moving to Canada, she was on faculty at Columbia University Medical Center. Her research centers on understanding the natural history of cardiac disease in utero and investigating fetal therapies to improve outcomes by the time of birth. In addition, she is working to elucidate genotype-fetal phenotype correlations and to understand the impact of a prenatal diagnosis of copy number variants and genetic syndromes, particularly 22q11.2 microdeletion syndrome, on perinatal outcome.
