Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

recognize that cardiovascular (CV) risk persists in statin-treated patients;
describe evidence for CV event reduction in statin-treated patients with elevated triglycerides; and
apply evidence and guideline recommendations in high-risk CV patients with elevated triglycerides in a clinical setting.

A practically-focused discussion between clinicians about integrating emerging evidence into their differing practices when addressing persistent cardiovascular (CV) risk in statin-treated patients. The discussion will cover identifying patients with persistent cardiovascular risk according to evidence and guidelines, navigating clinical decisions, conversations with patients, and applying knowledge in different settings.
