At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

identify the role of GLP-1 receptor agonists beyond glycemic control in patients with T2D and cardiovascular disease; and,
determine when and how to use GLP1-RAs as per the Diabetes Canada clinical practice guidelines and the recently published Canadian Cardiovascular Society guidelines regarding the use of antihyperglycemic agents (SGLT2i and GLP1RA) for cardiorenal risk reduction in adults.
