Dr. Sanjiv Dhingra is Assistant Professor and Director of the Canada Italy Tissue Engineering Program at the Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences, St. Boniface Hospital Research Centre, Winnipeg. He is affiliated with the Regenerative Medicine Program, Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology, University of Manitoba. His research interests are focused on the post-myocardial infarction cardiac regeneration and tissue engineering by stem cell therapy and biomaterials. Prior to joining as a faculty member at the University of Manitoba, Dr. Dhingra received postdoctoral training at the McEwen Centre for Regenerative Medicine, Toronto General Hospital and St. Boniface Hospital Research Centre in Winnipeg. Dr. Dhingra has received several awards and recognitions based on his research. His laboratory is funded by multiple agencies including CIHR and Research Manitoba.
