Dr. Leo Akioyamen is a PGY-1 Resident in Internal Medicine at the University of Toronto. Dr. Akioyamen obtained his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Toronto, where he was a Comprehensive Research in Medical Education (CREMS) Scholar and received the Gordon Cressy Award for Student Leadership. Dr. Akioyamen’s work has been published in general medical, cardiology and lipid subspecialty journals. Additionally, he has presented his research findings across Canada, the USA, and Europe. In 2018, he presented his work as a late-breaking abstract at the International Atherosclerosis Symposium.
