Esha Karia obtained her degree in Honors Bachelor of Health Science from McMaster University in April 2022. She is currently pursuing a graduate degree at the Lynch School of Human Development at Boston College in Massachusetts. Esha has been a Research Assistant for the Hamilton Health Sciences since 2018. She has conducted research with McMaster Children’s Hospital in the Pediatrics Department assisting with the design of a virtual, family-based lifestyle intervention for pediatric brain tumour survivors. More recently, Esha has been working with the Interventional Cardiology Department at Hamilton General Hospital. She was responsible for designing an early mobilization program for patients undergoing the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement procedure. As a student researcher and Certified Personal Trainer, Esha enjoys intersecting technology and exercise in her research endeavours to improve patients’ quality of life.
