Istok Menkovic is a third year post-graduate trainee in core internal medicine, at Universite de Montreal. He completed his medical degree at Universite de Sherbrooke, where he developped a strong interest towards an academic career in cardiology following an internship in the laboratories of Pr Ghassan Bkaily. Despite his young career, he has collaborated on multiple research projects. He has presented some of his work at the 6th meeting of the International Academy of Cardiovascular Sciences in Serbia in september of 2019, where he was rewarded the St. Boniface Hospital Albrechtsen Research Centre Travel Award.
