Hi everyone, my name is Jillian Macklin. I completed a BMSc in clinical biochemistry at Western university, and a MSc in laboratory medicine at University of Toronto focusing on cardiac immunology. I am now currently a combined MD/PhD student at University of Toronto, entering clerkship medicine in fall 2022 and wrapping up my PhD in Health Services Research. My community-based dissertation work focuses on understanding the care experiences of people experiencing homelessness and heart disease, and co-designing a new care management program in Toronto that meets them where they are at.
